New Faces/Print & Event Promotions
Marilyn's is always seeking fresh faces interested in working in the local market as well as nationwide. Below are the answers as to how to further or begin your modeling career:
Height Requirements
| Women | 5'8" - 5'11" |
| Men | 5'10" - 6'2" |
| Women Plus | 5'9" - 5'11", size 12 - 16 |
| Petite Women | 5'2" - 5'7" |
Type of photos to submit
Models should send a variety of current snapshots including:
- straight-on headshot, smiling
- straight-on headshot, not smiling
- full length, bathing suit/underwear
- full length, clothed
- 3/4 length
It is important for us to be able to see you. Please limit your make-up. Please do not send nude photos. We prefer to have the shots attached to the e-mail or in an envelope; we do not want any links.
Special Instructions for Children
We do not sign children under the age of five to exclusive contracts. However, we welcome current photos in the event we have a request for your child's age range and/or look. If your child is five or older and you would like them to be considered for representation, please submit current candid snapshots (following the same guidelines as listed above, except for the bathing suit/underwear shot). For all child submittals, please include date of birth, height, weight, sizes, and parent contact information. We receive a large quantity of child submittals daily and unfortunately cannot respond back to each one. In the event we are interested, you will receive a response within two weeks.
TV/Film/Commercial
- Experienced Actors/Voice Talent
Actors please submit your headshot, resume and demo reel/clips from on-camera work to michelle@marilynsagency.com or send by mail to the attention of Michelle Reed. If you do not have a demo reel or available clips, you must submit a test read of a commercial and monologue. Voice Over talent should submit a demo CD and resume.
- Seeking Representation with little or no experience for TV/Film/Commercial
If you are interested in acting or voice over work and have little or no experience, it is strongly suggested you receive formal training before attempting to submit to the agency and invest in headshots. The TV/Film industry is highly competitive and unfortunately without training and some experience it is difficult to secure representation. However, there are some with a raw talent, natural ability and/or a distinct look that gives them an edge over their lack of experience. If you are wishing to submit to the agency and do not have an established headshot, resume and demo reel; you are required to submit a digital file by email or DVD by mail of a test read. This test read should be of a commercial AND monologue. PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE AGENCY WITH QUESTIONS REGARDING THE TEST READ.
- Inquires for Receipt of Submission/Response
We regret that we are unable to acknowledge receipt of submissions and provide responses within the TV/Film department due to the high number of submissions received. Please do not call the agency for such information. The decision not to meet with you is determined solely by current TV/Film market needs accompanied by your experience and ability. If interested, the TV/Film agent will contact you within 2 weeks.
Miss Sprint Cup
Marilyn’s Model and Talent Management is accepting submittals ongoing for interested and qualified candidates for the position(s) of Miss Sprint Cup for the 2011 Sprint Cup Series season. Candidates should be at least 22-years-old and hold a college degree, must possess excellent writing and speaking skills, be comfortable with wireless technology, and have significant experience in the promotional or spokesmodel field. Extensive week and weekend travel is required. Candidates should live in the Charlotte, NC region. Anyone in the USA may apply, approved candidates must understand if hired, they would need to relocate to the Charlotte, NC region.
